Witness in Woven Light

A confrontational mask emerges from woven basketry, its wide-eyed gaze and open mouth suspended between artifact and presence. Constructed from layered materials—textile strips, pigment, and carved elements—the work collapses the boundary between ethnographic object and psychological portrait, challenging how we read and recognize the other.
